Acne Scars

Many people have found ways to treat their acne, but what about their acne scars? The red acne scars that are left behind are not as easy to get rid of as the actual acne in some cases. Here are some easy tips for how to get rid of the acne scars left behind by acne.

Easy Tip #1: Prevent Acne from getting out of control

Before you can focus on getting rid of the acne scars, you must get rid of the acne. Many people start to focus on the acne scars before all of their acne is clear. Instead, focus your attention on your present acne. By placing all of your attention on your present acne and clearing that up first, the likelihood of more acne coming is slim to none. If there is no more acne starting, then there will be less pimples for you to pop, and in the long run, less acne scars.

Easy Tip #2: Organic or Natural Treatments

The stores are full of acne medications that claim to help stop acne and ease acne scarring. However, the best products for this are really the natural or organic treatments. Natural products to try will have lots of Vitamin A and Vitamin E in them. These vitamins help the skin to heal and thus help the acne scars to heal as well. A honey facial mask is another great natural remedy for healing acne scars. Leave the honey facial on your face for 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water. The honey will have moisturized your face as well as helped to renew skin tissue and heal the acne scars.

Easy Tip #3: The Three Acne Scar Treatments

This last tip is to be used if only easy tip #1 and #2 did not work for you. A dermatologist’s advice and recommendation is also suggested prior to using any of the last treatments to help heal your acne scars. These treatments can be used alone or can be used in conjunction with each other. They include: Chemical Peel, Dermabrasion, or Laser Resurfacing.

These treatments are expensive and really should be used as a last resort. Your dermatologist will be able to give you a good idea of where to go to receive these services. Chemical Peels seem to be the best treatment at acne scars removal but you will need to have them done on a routine basis. Laser Surfacing and Dermabrasion are very pricy and may not necessarily work with your skin tone and skin type. This is why it is important for you to visit with your Dermatologist prior to any of these treatments for clearing your acne scars.
