Acne Skin Care

Most people who are experiencing an acne outbreak think that the best way to get rid of the acne is by attacking the face vigorously. However, that is not the proper way and there are different and gentle ways to approach acne skin care.

Part of an acne skin care routine is washing your face with a gentle cleanser. As you are washing your face you need to be so gentle as almost not touching your face. As you are using a very gentle cleanser, you are not stripping your skin of the vitamins and minerals that it needs to have a beautiful skin tone.

As with a gentle skin cleanser, you also need a gentle astringent as part of your acne skin care products. A harsh astringent, while fooling you to believe is working, is really contracting the skin’s surface and clogging pores thus causing acne to become easier to show.

The best gentle and cheap acne skin care astringent is Apple Cider Vinegar. To use, place on a cotton ball and gently rub over the entire face. Do not wash off, but allow drying prior to moisturizer application. It helps to tighten the pores, but not clog them.

The most important thing to consider when starting your acne skin care routine is to not pick, pop, or rub current acne. The reason behind this is because it will cause scarring on the current acne, but more importantly, your hands are full of bacteria and you are transferring the bacteria from your hands to your face. As part of your acne skin care routine do not touch your face.

Women who are fighting acne need to also consider their make-up as part of their acne skin care routine. Make-up that is oily usually clogs pores and thus acne forms. Oil free and noncomedogenic make-up should be the only type of make-up used when fighting acne. Make sure to read the label carefully before purchasing.

Make-up brushes are another factor that needs to be considered when following an acne skin care routine. These need to be cleaned on a weekly basis with a gentle cleanser to get rid of all of the bacteria that have been collected through out the week.

By following these acne skin care tips you are well onto your way of an acne free face and an acne free life!
