Types of Acne
Of all of the skin disorders out there, acne is the most common. Acne effects people of all ages, most people in their teens, however many adults face acne as well. Acne is a result of trouble in the oil gland. There are various types of acne that many people experience. Below are 4 different types of acne that people experience some through out their lives.
#1 Type of Acne: Acne Vulgaris
This type of acne is caused with over-active oil and sweat gland overproduces fluid. The excess fluid is then trapped by hair follicles and is not able to get away. Bacteria are then caught in and around the hair follicle and thus inflammation takes place. These particular types of acne begin around the teen years, or even before, and are distinguished on the face in the form of pimples, blackheads, and cysts.
#2 Type of Acne: Acne Cosmetica
As the name sounds, acne cosmetica is caused by most make-ups that women use. Make-up products that have oily ingredients such as lanolin and isopropyl myristante are the causes for this type of acne. This type of acne is very mild and usually is categorized by just having small pink bumps. Many women have this type of acne just by having the wrong kind of make-up. Look for make-up that is oil free and you will help to start to clear these types of acne.
#3 Type of Acne: Cystic Acne
This is one of the severe types of acne and it happens with the pimple bursts under the skin rather than on top of the skin. As this happens, the body naturally tries to fight it and in the long run it causes the area to swell, redness occurs, and it is usually followed with pain. Facial scarring is another factor that happens as a result of these types of acne. Not only are the types of acne found on the face, but also it can be found on the neck, shoulders, back, and arms. This type of acne needs medical attention to be dealt with properly.
#4 Type of Acne: Occupational Acne
People who work with mineral oil or petroleum usually are candidates for this type of acne. The oil gets under the hair follicles and leads to problems such as stubborn blackheads that are difficult to treat. If you are working in this industry, it is advised to wear as much covering on your face to ensure that the oil does not touch your skin.
